Our commitment to quality service and an affordable experience is at the core of our values.
In case of a disaster, the stem cells can be shipped to our backup facility in SA. We have agreements with international laboratories which provide our clients with additional assurance for the shipment of samples to overseas storage facilities in case of a national disaster.
The laboratory is equipped with immediate backup generators in case of a power failure or during loadshedding; processing and filling of the storage tanks can continue without any delays.
Our storage facility is equipped with a gravity flow system for filling storage tanks even without electricity. The tanks are validated to be maintained at the required temperature, which allows time for shipment to backup facilities.
CryoSave SA uses a specialised cord blood processing method using a Biosafe Sepax blood processing kit and the so-called Sepax II FAMCORD protocol. This is a closed, single-use system which minimises the risk of contamination during processing.
We have a team of medical experts worldwide working in collaboration with us including Polish Stem Cell Bank (PBKM), CellSave USA, Dubai and the Cord Blood Association.
CryoSave SA offers a Cost-Free Donation Programme for families that wish to store their baby’s umbilical cord blood stem cells for a sibling that has been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease where a stem cell transplant is being considered. In consultation with the transplant physician, should the eligibility criteria be met, this service will be provided free to these families.
We also offer cost free shipment to transplant facilities for an FDA approved transplant, including the necessary testing of samples for release of the product.
